I never really decided to stop, but time just kept passing, and passing, and passing...and next thing I knew, it'd been 4 months since my last post. I thought that maybe blogging had served its purpose. Facebooking is the new blogging, right? But then for some reason I decided to go back to old posts, and I found myself getting all nostalgic. Kind of like when I go back and read old journals, except that blogging is different. And then I realized that keeping a blog is kind of like keeping a journal. So, I think I will keep doing it, even if it's just so that I can look back on it in a few years and feel nostalgic for what is now.
So, what is now? Well, I've been recovering from surgery on my right foot. And to pass the time, we've been remodeling our kitchen. And Julia finally started sleeping through the night. Cole's learning to ride a bike, and had his first big fall today...and survived. And Weston's vision in his left eye has improved to 20/60. Get that, folks! This is the kid whose ophthalmologist told us he may never have usable vision in that eye. So maybe the patching we've been doing for the last three years (has it really been THAT LONG?) has been worth it...
From reading old posts, I decided that posts really are better when they involve pictures. So I'll leave it at that for now, and post some pictures as soon as I can get them off the camera.

Maybe I should keep blogging after all.

I LOVE FB because you can see what's happening NOW!! But I LOVE blogging because you can see things past, and present. I TRY to keep up on mine. Last year for my birthday I had my blog printed into a book. OH it's wonderful. My journal pictures and all. I think it will be my NEW thing to print it every year on my birthday. It's not very expensive either. YES KEEP BLOGGING!! We like to know what's going on with you.
Yay! Glad to see you're back in the blogging world!
I'm glad to hear Weston's eye is doing so well! I've been on something of a blog hiatus, it just isn't a high time priority right now. But the journaling aspect is valuable. I feel like my days are filled with decisions about what things to neglect so I can get other things done!
hooray to both of us joining the blogging world again! I knew it had been awhile since I had gotten on the computer when I logged into facebook last week and a message popped up that said, "welcome back Holly." Even FB noticed I was gone:)
Yay, I'm glad you're back! I've missed your posts :)
