Awhile ago we polled all of you, our faithful blog readers, as to whether you preferred the flesh-toned adhesive patch or the black pirate patch. We obtained some very valuable information from this poll.
1. We only have 6 faithful blog readers (two of which are Brian and I), unless some of you didn't vote.
2. The black pirate patch is the preferred option.
Unfortunately for you voters, the black patch has gone the way of the world. We compromised on functionality and appearance and got some cute adhesive patches, two of which are adorably modeled below by the Patchy Boo himself.

The patching experience has gotten much better since Brian discovered the key to keeping the patch on was as simple as washing Weston's face before we put it on. It sticks about 300% better and finally Weston can't just rip it off. We might survive the next year of patching, after all!

I'm trying to remember the poll...eh, um...was I on it? maybe it was in the middle of my preparation for the exams....
Wow, you'd think the doctor would mention that since it makes such a huge difference. I can see how that would be, though. Face oils really do play havoc on adhesive. I'm so glad you've found a fix!
I liked the pirate patch but I really really like the patch with flames on it, that is too cute. Now he just needs a little harley davidson leather jacke tto go with it.
We missed the poll but our late vote is for the black patch. We hope to see it back in action when he is older and on the high seas.
