Well, take a deep breath and get ready for a fun ride! We're back, finally, and we're posting a ton of pictures and commentary to update you all on our lives during the last few months. Hopefully we can blog a little more regularly from now on, but here goes!
I love this picture of Cole because he figured out the trick of putting the olives on his fingers without any parental instruction. Is there any kid in the world who hasn't discovered the joy of putting olives on their fingers! It's a sad day when your fingers get too big and the olives don't fit anymore...
Weston tried his first taste of rice cereal a few days ago. He tolerated it, but wasn't a big fan. This was in direct contrast to Cole, who downed it the first time he tried it. The side of the rice cereal box tells you that if it's their first time, to mix 1 tablespoon rice cereal with 4 tablespoons of water. When I did that with Cole, he devoured that and I had to make several more servings that size before he was satisfied. Weston, on the other hand, ate about half of his first serving. I gave him more tonight though and he liked it a little better. People say it's a myth that giving your child solid food before bed helps them sleep longer at night, but we're still hoping...Weston STILL thinks he needs to wake up between 12 and 2 a.m. for a feeding every night, and I'm really ready to have my nights back.
I love his face in this shot!
Baby smiles are the best things on earth!
Dad and his cute boys in their Sunday attire...looking pretty sharp, huh?
Weston has developed this strange method of sucking on his pacifier. He seems to like it this way, but it drives me crazy when he does it. Funny, though.
Cole has really surprised and impressed us with the degree of his affection for his baby brother. He likes to get with him under his arch and put a blanket over both of them. Weston seems to like it as well, as long as Cole is careful and doesn't knock him in the head while he's getting situated.
This is our first time experiencing the baby bald spot. Cole had so much hair that his just got all matted instead of rubbing off. This thing just cracks us up! I hear it goes away once they learn to sit.
Maybe a little time spent in the Exersaucer will help improve the bald spot situation as well.
Just a couple crazy pictures of the adults in the family...Brian wanted to include this one of me so I got back at him by putting the next one in. :)
This post is mostly a photo journal...maybe we'll start contemplating the mysteries of the universe and comment on our conclusions in our next post. :)

Love the photos! Welcome back to the world of cyberspace! Your boys are adorable!
I think Brian's next deep thinking should be coming up with a cross that will grow giant sized olives that will fit on adult (overgrown kid)fingers.
Awesome pics--and yeah, the one w/ the boys in their Sunday attire looks sharp!!
Jett has the same blad spot. We like the bumbo for helping give him time off his head. If you don't have one I highly recomend it!! They are the best baby items ever!!!!! I saw you don't have our blog address, it is www.smithteam.blogspot.com if ya want to check it out.
