Sad time

It's been a hectic week. Brian's sister gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, two weeks ago. About a week ago we received a call from Brian's mom saying that the little girl, who had seemed to be doing well, was having trouble and was being life-flighted to Primary Children's hospital in Salt Lake City (they were in St. George). The next morning we received word that she didn't make it. It was a very difficult time for them and for the whole family. We flew to St. George on Saturday evening so we could be there for the memorial service which was held on Monday, and then we returned on Tuesday evening. Thankfully their little boy is doing well and was just released to go home with his parents on Monday evening, so we were able to see him before we left. Anyway, it's at times like these you step back, gain a lot of perspective, and stop to thank God for the blessing of two healthy children (even when they redecorate with nail polish!).
