Don't worry, no graphic pictures this time, just an update for those of you who are wondering. Brian has been valiantly working on exterminating the black widows in our shed and I think the body count is up over 15. Plus a few egg sacs that promised even more black widow fun if we hadn't discovered them in time. Sheesh! Who knew we were harboring an army of cold blooded killers in our backyard?

YIKES that's terrible! We're you really up past 11 I dson't believe it!
I just met a girl that got bitten by a black widow last week; she said it hurt but she survived! I had forgotten that they're really only deadly to children...
Unfortunately, there are two children at your house, though. I'm sure glad Brian is on top of it!
We've looked into it and thankfully, black widow bites are rarely fatal, even for children. They can be terribly painful though. We do feel pretty confident that the problem has been handled, though I'm not going to be letting my kids wander into the shed alone anymore.
So gross! I'm glad you have a handle on the situation. The sight of a single black widow gives me the creeps. :)
This makes me want to go over the areas my kids play in with a fine-toothed comb...I don't think of myself as squeamish but I definitely don't like poisonous things!
