We have no update on when Weston's surgery is going to be. I'm a little bugged by the staff at the retinal specialist's office. They're very nice when you talk to them, and they act like something's going to get done, but there's no follow through. They told me they'd call me on Thursday to let me know what was going on with the insurance and whether we'd be able to do surgery on Monday. When I hadn't heard anything by Thursday afternoon, I called them. They assured me they were working on it and would call me back. I decided to call the insurance company on Friday and see if there was any update on the status of the request for authorization. I was told that they had no record of such a request in their system. I then called the doctor's office to ask them what was going on. They again assured me that everything was fine, that this was an unusual process because Dr. Tawansy is not a network provider with my insurance. They said they'd call me back at 2 p.m. to update me. At 3:30 p.m. I hadn't heard from them, so I called. They said their computers were down and they'd call me before the end of the day. And...shocker...I never heard back from them. So, we're in limbo. I can only assume since it's Sunday night and I have had no word from them, that we will not be taking him in for surgery tomorrow!! But it's frustrating having no idea what's going on. They'll hear from me first thing tomorrow, and they better have some answers....

My main reason for finding a computer here in England was so that we could learn about Weston's surgery...sorry it hasn't happened yet. Please be sure and keep us posted. He looks really cute as a pirate!
I'm sorry you had to play phone tag with the doctor's office and the insurance company. That is horribly frustrating.
