A couple of months ago, out of the blue, Cole actually said that. "Weston is kind of like a pirate." At the time we had no idea what would prompt him to say that and we laughed about it a lot. Maybe Cole could see the future, because now, Weston is kind of like a pirate. Here are some patch pictures...
Brian actually bought him a black patch that has the elastic to go around the head. I'm highly opposed to having him wear it, because I don't want him to look that much like a pirate. But, Brian makes a good point--it's reusable. These adhesive patches don't stick well at all once they're taken off once, and we go through 3 every day. That's going to add up. So maybe we'll have to do the black pirate patch occasionally to save some money...

At least he's smiling while being patched, right? I can't believe you haven't heard about the surgery yet. Hopefully you didn't have to drop everything and go today. Let us know how it all turns out.
Since Bennett has to wear glasses over the patch, the adhesive patch works better than the elastic, but I find the adhesives sometimes hurt him when I pull them off, so neither kind is great. I'd go with the elastic one if Weston doesn't pull it off more easily, since you're not dealing with glasses. (By the way, I just found Bennett's glasses that had been lost for a week when I was cleaning out the van---too bad I already spent $130 for a new pair, but it's good to have a back up anyway.)
